Job summary

Easterseals Western and Central Pennsylvania in West Mifflin, PA is hiring a Level III Classroom Assistant to support children with special needs ages 3-8. The full-time position is 7 hours per day at $23 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package valued at about $6K.

Responsibilities include planning activities, supporting IEP goals, maintaining a safe, inclusive classroom, providing 1:1 instruction as needed, and assisting with behavior management and instructional programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• PA Professional Teaching Certificate in Special Education, Elementary Education, and/or Early Childhood Education required.
• Special Education Experience: 1 Year (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Planning and implementing activities to enhance students' skills.
• Assisting in implementing the students' IEP.
• Providing a safe and accepting classroom.
• Providing 1:1 instruction as needed.
• Assisting in the instructional program, integration program, and behavior management of students
