Job summary

Easterseals Western and Central Pennsylvania is seeking a Lead Teacher II for their Child Development Center located in State College, PA. Job Summary

Lead Teacher II at Easterseals Western and Central Pennsylvania Child Development Center, located in State College, PA. Full‑time day position (M‑F 7:30am‑4:30pm, 37.5hrs/week). Hourly rate $16.00 with a benefits package worth roughly $6,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement an ongoing educational program for children aged birth to8 in the assigned classroom.
  • Create daily and monthly lesson plans at least one week in advance, following the play‑based Creative Curriculum and adapting as necessary.
  • Plan learning activities within established classroom centers and rotate materials monthly and as appropriate.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or human services; or
  • Bachelor’s degree with 30 credit hours in the same fields and 1year experience with children; or
  • Associate’s degree with 30 credit hours in the same fields and 2years experience with children; or
  • Associate’s degree with 30 credit hours in the same fields and 3years experience with children.
  • Prior experience working with children ages birth to 8 preferred.
  • Current valid PA driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Acceptable criminal record check, child‑abuse and FBI clearances, NSOR clearance.
  • Pass physical examination and TB test.
