Job summary

Ector County Independent School District is seeking an Aide-Behavioral Support to assist in implementing students' IEPs and support behavior management in the classroom.

The role requires collaboration with teachers and staff, confidentiality, and ability to manage student needs across locations. CPI certification and educational prerequisites are required, with a focus on supporting students with disabilities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of child development and educational theories applicable to IEPs.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work in teams with teachers, staff and parents.
• Commitment to confidentiality and professional conduct.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with self-help needs (toileting, diapering, feeding, positioning).
• Support students in daily routines and transitions between locations.
• Assist in maintaining classroom materials and organization.
• Help implement instructional activities and reinforce learning.
• Supervise students and monitor behavior inside and outside the classroom.
• Dress professionally and adhere to policies; assist with duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education

Associate's Degree/48 Sem hrs

High school diploma or equivalent
