Job summary

Dripping Springs Elementary is seeking a Special Education Aide - Behavior Support FOCUS. You will work under the Special Services Department to support students with challenging behaviors, provide coaching to staff, collect data, and assist with crisis response to maintain a safe, inclusive classroom environment.

The role requires a High School diploma and a Texas educational aide certificate or higher, with experience in autism or related behavioral supports.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with behavioral challenges in school settings.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of de-escalation and behavior intervention practices.
• Strong communication with staff and families.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teachers to implement behavior intervention strategies.
• Provide real-time coaching and feedback to staff during activities.
• Collect and interpret behavioral data to support decisions.
• Participate in ARD/MTSS/FEA/BIP meetings as appropriate.
• Assist with crisis intervention and safety procedures.
• Support social-emotional learning and parent communication.
