Job summary

Amergis is seeking a part-time School Aide in El Monte, CA to assist students requiring instructional and behavioral support under the supervision of the special education department and teachers.

The position covers approximately 30 hours per week. Responsibilities include assisting with personal mobility and therapeutic care needs as directed by health professionals. A High School diploma or equivalent and current health clearances are required; applicants must be 18+.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Comply with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable; TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Work with students requiring instructional and/or behavioral assistance under supervision of the special education department, teacher and/or supervising designee.
• Provide support services to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs as established by a rehabilitation health practitioner, social worker or other health care professional.
