Job summary

The University of Arkansas is seeking a Research Services Specialist for Special Collections Research Services. This in-person role supports researchers, manages reading room operations, and coordinates duplication and off-site storage requests.

You will lead part-time staff, assist with hiring/training, and ensure security and access to materials while maintaining collaborative relationships with colleagues across the library.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of library customer services experience.
• Ability to learn and use new technology resources.

Responsibilities

• Assist researchers in using Special Collections materials on-site and virtually.
• Coordinate serving as lead support staff in the reading room and assist with hiring/training part-time employees.
• Retrieve, shelve and coordinate duplication services and storage between off-site storage and reading room.
• Maintain Reading Room security and coordinate storage for classroom facilities.
