Job summary

Rockland Trust is seeking a Special Assets Portfolio Manager to join the Special Asset Group in Boston, MA. This role focuses on underwriting and managing a portfolio of criticized loans for C/I and Real Estate, coordinating with workout officers and the SAG Credit Officer on strategic restructures.

The position requires strong credit analysis, collaboration across teams, and the ability to drive timely loan and report updates while identifying risk and facilitating pre-closing activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent.
• 2+ years of prior Commercial Credit Analysis experience.
• Formal Credit Training preferred.
• Experience servicing distressed portfolios of commercial loans.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage an assigned portfolio of classified assets with workout officers.
• Prepare loan packages for loan restructure approvals and submit to Special Asset Committee.
• Prepare credit analyses in accordance with LUAG for existing relationships focusing on restructuring and risk mitigation.
• Assist workout officers with Watched Asset Reports and Classified Assets Reports as needed.
• Support REO processes with asset reports, bid strategies, and reconciliation tasks.
• Track loan delinquencies, renewals, and covenant compliance to minimize losses.
