Job summary

Rockland Trust is seeking a Special Assets Officer to manage a portfolio of classified assets, including commercial real estate loans and ORE. The role focuses on devising strategies to rehabilitate or maximize recovery while maintaining compliance and timely reporting.

You will work with the SAG Manager and Portfolio Managers to analyze credit, coordinate restructures, and respond to inquiries from attorneys and clients.

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience in servicing distressed portfolios of large commercial Real Estate loans.
• MBA, Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent experience preferred.
• Formal credit training is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain an assigned portfolio of classified assets including commercial RE loans and ORE.
• Ensure compliance with internal, external and regulatory requirements.
• Perform credit administration duties including ratings, file maintenance, and reports.
• Collaborate with Portfolio Manager for loan restructures and approvals.
• Prepare Watched Asset and Classified Assets reports as needed.
• Monitor loan delinquencies and renewals for assigned assets.
