STCU – Spokane Teachers Credit Union is seeking a Special Assets Officer to manage delinquent real estate loans, overdrawn accounts, repossessions and asset recovery, reducing losses while protecting our members' interests.

You will work within established policies, exercising independent judgment and ensuring compliance with FDCPA, TCPA and FCRA. Collaboration with attorneys and vendors is essential to maintain timely sequences and outcomes.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Consumer Credit Counselling Certificate preferred.
• Minimum three years experience in real estate and/or consumer collections, or relevant experience in a financial institution required.

Aufgaben

• Manage specialty collection portfolios by contacting members and resolving delinquencies.
• Recommend loss mitigation strategies by evaluating risk and recovery actions.
• Support legal recovery efforts with attorneys and third‑party vendors for bankruptcies, foreclosures, and repossessions.
• Maintain compliance with FDCPA, TCPA, FCRA UDAAP, bankruptcy codes, internal controls and SLAs.
