Job summary

U.S. Secret Service is seeking Special Agents to support the dual mission of criminal investigations and protective operations. Agents will work on complex financial crime investigations, including counterfeiting and cyber fraud, while also providing security for the President, Vice President, and other protectees.

Training spans federal facilities with rigorous 13-week FLETC and 18-week Rowley programs. Applicants must be U.S.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Must have a current valid driver’s license and be REAL ID compliant.
• Must be at least 21 years old at time of application.
• Applicant may be referred up to their 40th birthday.
• Must be willing to undergo drug testing before appointment and random testing during employment.
• Must obtain and retain a Top-Secret Clearance.
• Automatic credit check after initial qualifications.
• Must carry and use a firearm with required proficiency.
• Agree to mobility for assignments nationwide and overseas.
• Register with the Selective Service System if male (where applicable).
• Vision and hearing standards apply (20/100 uncorrected, 20/20 corrected; hearing limits).

Responsibilities

• Conducting complex criminal investigations into financial crimes (e.g., counterfeiting, cyber fraud).
• Providing physical protection for the President, Vice President, and other protectees.
• Designing and implementing advanced security measures for NSSEs and high-profile events.
