WIBR Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research is seeking a Spatial Omics Technician to join the Sun Lab. You will perform MERFISH-based spatial transcriptomics experiments, tissue processing, and data preprocessing to enable computational modeling and discovery.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in molecular biology or related field with lab experience.
• Experience with RNA handling, hybridization assays or microscopy is preferred.
• Familiarity with spatial transcriptomics technologies is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform spatial transcriptomics experiments, including MERFISH sample prep, hybridization, and imaging.
• Prepare tissue samples (cryosectioning, fixation, staining) for spatial assays.
• Assist with probe design and optimization for MERFISH and related tech.
• Run and maintain preprocessing pipelines (decoding, segmentation, QC).
• Organize imaging datasets and metadata; document protocols and results.
