Join the Spartan Ticket Office as a Student Event Worker to assist with ticket sales, will call, guest lists, and donor-based activities during home Football, Basketball, Hockey, Volleyball, and other events, while upholding professional standards and customer service excellence.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled full-time Michigan State University student.
• Availability to work select game days for home sports.
• Must be available to work events on select evenings and weekends.
• Strong customer service, communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a quick-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with ability to multi-task and work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Become familiar with Paciolan ticketing software to assist with ticket sales, resolve ticketing issues, and respond to customer inquiries regarding tickets and donations.
• Assist with ticket-related functions for home Football, Men’s & Women’s Basketball, Hockey, Volleyball, and Olympic sport events, including ticket sales, will call, guest lists, VIP distribution, and other duties.
• Conduct business in a professional manner with donors, alumni, students, and other guests.
• Learn day-to-day operations of a Division I athletic ticket office, donor-based priority seating, NCAA and Big Ten regulations, and general accounting principles.
• Become familiar with point-of-sale systems to assist with ticket order entry on game days.
• Utilize effective time-management skills to complete assignments and meet deadlines ahead of busy sales periods.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

SPARTAN TICKET OFFICE STUDENT EVENT WORKER

The Michigan State University Athletic Ticket Office is seeking current Michigan State University students who are self-starters, punctual, able to take direction, and interested in gaining experience in the sports and entertainment industry.

Responsibilities

• Become familiar with Paciolan ticketing software to assist with ticket sales, resolve ticketing issues, and respond to customer inquiries regarding tickets and donations.
• Assist with ticket-related functions for home Football, Men’s & Women’s Basketball, Hockey, Volleyball, and Olympic sport events, including ticket sales, will call, player and recruit guest lists, VIP ticket distribution, and other duties as assigned.
• Consistently conduct business in a professional manner, including appropriate dress and professional verbal and written communication when interacting with donors, alumni, students, and other guests.
• Become familiar with the day-to-day operations of a Division I athletic ticket office, donor-based priority seating, NCAA and Big Ten Conference regulations, and general accounting principles associated with collegiate athletics.
• Become familiar with point-of-sale systems to assist with ticket order entry on game days.
• Utilize effective time-management skills to complete assignments and meet deadlines ahead of busy sales periods and game days.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled full-time Michigan State University student
• Availability to work on select game days for home Men’s & Women’s Soccer, Volleyball, Baseball, Softball, Wrestling, Gymnastics, Hockey, Men’s & Women’s Basketball, and Football
• Must be available to work events on select evenings and weekends
• Strong customer service, communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a quick-paced environment
• Detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
• Must be able to work independently and in a team environment
• Previous work experience in a sales department or other service industry is preferred

Compensation

$13.73 per hour. Applications accepted until filled.
