Job summary

S&ME Inc. in Spartanburg, SC is offering the 2027 Spark Summer Internship program across Civil, Environmental, Construction, and Geotechnical disciplines. Interns will learn from experienced professional-owners and join a cohort to gain hands-on experience across service lines.

You will participate in professional development and be exposed to real projects, preparing you to transition from campus to career. Housing is not provided.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a related degree program; Rising Juniors, Seniors, or Graduate students preferred;
• Related experience and/or campus, community, work-related leadership experience preferred;
• At least 18 years of age;
• Out of town travel may be required;
• For technical roles the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions is required;
• Routine lifting may be required: 40 to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience across Civil, Environmental, Construction and Geotechnical services.
• Work with an intern cohort and learn about S&ME's project processes.
• Support teams on project tasks in a twelve-week summer program.
