Job summary

Slate is seeking a Central Maintenance Spare Parts Coordinator to manage and optimize spare parts inventory for facilities maintenance in a US-based operation. You will work with maintenance planners, technicians, procurement, and vendors to ensure reliable parts availability and cost control.

The role emphasizes CMMS data integrity, standardization of parts documentation, and collaboration with the Facilities Manager’s team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Facilities Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field with at least five years of related experience.
• Experience in spare parts, inventory, or materials management within a maintenance or facilities environment.
• Working knowledge of CMMS platforms and inventory control processes.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and attention-detail skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain spare parts inventory for facilities maintenance and support preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Monitor inventory levels, identify critical spares, and recommend reorder points and stocking strategies.
• Ensure accurate receiving, issuing, labeling, storage, and organization of spare parts.
• Maintain CMMS records for spare parts, inventory, and assets; ensure parts usage is linked to work orders.
• Coordinate with Facilities Manager, Procurement, Production Control, MRO, and vendors to requisition parts.
• Support vendor pricing reviews, lead-time tracking, and cost-effective purchasing.
• Standardize spare part systems and access for contractors and vendors.
• Analyze inventory data to identify slow-moving, obsolete, or critical parts; suggest improvements.
• Support safety, regulatory compliance, audits, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
