Job summary

Slate Auto is seeking a Central Maintenance Spare Parts Coordinator I in the United States. The role oversees spare parts inventory for facilities maintenance, ensures accuracy in CMMS records, and coordinates with procurement and vendors to optimize costs and reliability.

The candidate will monitor stock levels, establish reorder points, and standardize documentation while supporting safety, audits, and cross-functional collaboration within the Facilities Maintenance team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Facilities Management, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of related experience in spare parts, inventory, or materials management.
• Working knowledge of CMMS platforms and inventory control processes.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and attention-detail skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Effective written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Spare Parts and Inventory Management: manage and maintain spare parts inventory for facilities maintenance; monitor levels; identify critical spares; set reorder points.
• CMMS and Documentation: maintain accurate spare parts records in CMMS; ensure parts usage tracked to work orders; standardize documentation and controls.
• Procurement and Vendor Coordination: coordinate with Facilities Manager, Procurement, Production Control, MRO and vendors; assist with pricing reviews and lead-time tracking; standardize with maintenance systems; support contractor access to spare parts.
• Continuous Improvement and Cost Control: analyze inventory data to identify slow-moving, obsolete, or critical parts; propose improvements to reduce excess inventory and costs; support reliability initiatives.
• Safety, Compliance, and Collaboration: ensure storage and handling meet safety and regulatory requirements; support audits and inventories; collaborate with teams.
