Job summary

Slate is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Planner – CMMS to plan, schedule, and document maintenance activities using a CMMS, ensuring preventive and corrective maintenance keeps facilities reliable and compliant. You will coordinate labor, materials, tools, and external resources to ensure effective execution and maintain accurate asset records.

The role emphasizes developing PM plans, monitoring backlog, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of related experience in maintenance planning or facilities maintenance operations.
• Working knowledge of CMMS platforms and maintenance workflows.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with digital reporting systems and dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize, and schedule maintenance work orders in the CMMS for facilities and building systems.
• Coordinate labor, materials, tools, and external resources to ensure effective execution of maintenance activities.
• Work closely with maintenance supervisors, technicians, and facilities leadership to align schedules with operational needs.
• Monitor maintenance backlog and schedule compliance, recommending adjustments as needed.
• Develop, review, and optimize preventive maintenance plans based on manufacturer recommendations, regulatory requirements, and operational experience.
• Track PM completion rates and identify opportunities to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
