Job summary

Welo Data, part of Welocalize, seeks a freelance remote voice director to coach performers during scripted scenarios, ensuring natural, conversational delivery. You’ll create context, improvise where needed, and adapt wording for regional authenticity while monitoring recording quality.

Ideal candidates have experience directing voice talent, strong mic technique knowledge, and the ability to guide performers in a supportive, low-pressure environment across two recording sessions per participant.

Qualifications

• Native fluency in the required language with a strong ear for natural phrasing.
• Experience directing, coaching, or producing voice or audio talent (voice direction, casting, audio production, dubbing, theatre).
• Ability to give clear, specific, actionable performance direction.

Responsibilities

• Direct voice performers through scripted scenarios and coaching for natural delivery.
• Build scene context for performers and improvise to fill gaps live.
• Adapt scripted wording for natural phrasing and dialect authenticity.
• Monitor and correct technical audio quality in real time (mic technique, pacing, room noise, levels).
• Manage session pacing to hit recording targets while maintaining performance quality.
