Job summary

Summit Public Schools is seeking a Spanish Teacher for SY26-27 to engage students in project-based learning and advisory mentoring across high school and middle school settings. The role emphasizes culturally responsive teaching, collaboration with mission-aligned colleagues, and growth through Summit’s guided curriculum.

The position requires a California Teaching Credential (or in another US state) and a Bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

• Teaching credential in California or another US state.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Spanish language proficiency a plus.

Responsibilities

• See sample teacher schedules; manage 8:00–5:00 daily for most sites.
• Teach project-based, inquiry-driven lessons with advisory group mentoring.
• Lead mentor-time activities and daily literacy or math interventions as needed.
• Collaborate in after-school and grade-level teams to support student growth.
• Foster an equitable, inclusive classroom culture and data-informed planning.
