Job summary

Summit Public Schools is seeking mission‑driven educators to mentor the same group of students year after year, building strong advisory relationships and guiding deep learning projects. You’ll teach in a project‑based model, collaborate with colleagues, and participate in regular professional development to continually improve practice.

You’ll work in a diverse, small school community that prioritizes DEIB and equitable pathways for all students.

Qualifications

• Teaching credential in California or another US state.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Clear health and background check.
• Experience teaching your subject is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach 90‑minute blocks in high school or four 55‑minute blocks in middle school during project time.
• Mentor groups daily, coach and advocate for mentees.
• Analyze student data to plan supports and improve outcomes.
• Collaborate in after‑school meetings, coaching, and professional development.
• Uphold Summit’s values: DEIB, equity, and belonging in daily practice.
