Job summary

Holy Redeemer Catholic School in College Park, MD is seeking a Spanish Teacher for PreK-8. This full-time role reports to the Principal. Salary ranges from $48,000 to $50,000 per year.

The teacher will deliver instruction aligned with Archdiocese standards and foster a safe, Catholic learning environment for all students. The position includes planning, instruction, classroom management and communication duties, with non-instructional responsibilities as needed and an emphasis on Catholic

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Current teacher certification in Maryland, Virginia, or Washington, DC (candidates have 3 years from hire to earn their certification).
• Knowledge of child development and supervision.
• Experience teaching in an elementary school setting (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Plan lessons aligned with Archdiocese Academic and Religious Standards.
• Deliver instruction addressing diverse learner needs with assessments to inform instruction.
• Establish and maintain a positive, Catholic classroom environment.
• Maintain grade book and communicate progress to parents and administration.
• Attend Catholic liturgical ceremonies and promote Catholic identity in class.
• Perform non-instructional duties as required (clubs, meetings, substitutions).
