Holy Redeemer School in College Park, Maryland is hiring a Middle School Math and Science Teacher for the 2026-27 school year. This is a full-time role reporting to the Principal.

The salary for this position is $55,000 to $60,000 with outstanding benefits. The Catholic elementary school teacher is responsible to deliver instruction that is based on the approved curricula and mission of the school, and to create a safe, orderly and Catholic learning environment for his/her students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Current teaching certification in Maryland, Virginia, or Washington, DC (candidates have 3 years from hire to earn their certification).
• Knowledge of child development and supervision.
• Experience teaching in an elementary school setting (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Create lesson plans that align with Archdiocese standards.
• Utilize standardized test scores and assessments to adjust instruction.
• Plan learner-based lessons that address all students’ needs.
• Deliver a balanced program of instruction with varied methods.
• Plan individual and group instruction with lectures, discussion and hands-on activities.
• Administer formal and informal assessments to measure objectives.
• Differentiate instruction based on assessment data.
• Maintain a grade book and communicate progress to parents and administration.
• Inform students and parents of assignments with detailed rubrics and due dates.
• Post up-to-date information on the grade book portal.
• Confer with parents as needed and prepare quarterly progress reports.
• Foster Catholic beliefs and assist in liturgical planning; lead prayer in the classroom.
• Attend liturgical ceremonies as required.
• Perform non-instructional duties such as carpool, recess, lunch, and club sponsorship.
• Participate in faculty meetings and professional development.
• Obtain Maryland, Virginia, or DC certification within three years of hire.
