Holy Redeemer Catholic School in Kensington, MD is seeking a Part-Time Spanish Teacher for grades 1 and 2 to provide engaging language instruction in a faith-centered environment.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's in Education or Spanish, be fluent in Spanish and English, and collaborate with staff to support student growth. The position is on-site, with compensation at $20–$22 per hour, and reports to the Principal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Spanish, or a related field.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.
• Experience teaching elementary-aged children preferred.
• Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.
• Practicing Catholic preferred, and or a willingness to support and uphold the teachings and mission of the Catholic Church.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate Spanish lessons aligned with the school's curriculum.
• Foster the development of listening, speaking, reading, and introductory writing skills in Spanish.
• Create a welcoming, respectful, and positive classroom environment that reflects Catholic values.
• Assess student learning and communicate progress to parents and school administration.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, faculty, and administrators to support student success.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events as appropriate.
