Job summary

Holy Redeemer Catholic School in College Park, MD is hiring a Spanish Teacher for grades PreK to 8. This full-time, on-site position reports to the Principal and offers a salary range of $48,000 to $50,000.

The teacher will plan lessons aligned with Archdiocese standards, assess student progress, and maintain Catholic identity in classroom activities. The teacher will also communicate with parents, administer assessments, and participate in liturgical activities as required.

Qualifications

• Current teaching certification in Maryland, Virginia, or Washington, DC (candidates have 3 years from hire to earn their certification)
• Knowledge of child development and supervision
• Experience teaching in an elementary school setting (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Plan lessons aligned with Archdiocese standards and religious objectives.
• Deliver a balanced program of instruction with direct, guided, and hands-on activities.
• Administer formal and informal assessments and differentiate instruction based on results.
• Maintain clear communication with parents and administrators; post progress updates.
• Foster Catholic identity in classroom activities and lead liturgical or religious events as needed.
• Perform non-instructional duties (carpool, recess, substitutes) as required.
