St. Rose High School, a Catholic, co-educational high school located in Belmar, NJ, is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as a Teacher. Position: Short Term Spanish Teacher. Year: 2025-2026. Type: Full-Time. Start date: October 1, 2025.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning.
  • Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in accordance with curriculum objectives.
  • Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
  • Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction.
  • Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.
  • Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school.
  • Provide appropriate feedback on work.
  • Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of students\' progress and development.
  • Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress and needs.
  • Prepare required reports on students and activities.
  • Participate in department, school, district, and parent meetings.
  • Communicate with parents and school counselors on student progress.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities such as social activities, sporting activities, clubs, and student organizations.
  • Keep updated with developments in the subject area, teaching resources, and methods and make relevant changes to instructional plans and activities.
  • Other duties/activities assigned by the principal.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s degree in the relevant field required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Valid teaching certification.
  • Proven experience as a teacher at the high school level preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with technology, including educational software and social media.

  • Compliance with diocesan requirements, including VIRTUS training and background check clearance.
