Job summary

Accounting Search is seeking a Spanish-speaking phlebotomist in Adelphi, MD for a contract role with potential for permanent placement. Schedule is Monday to Friday, 9 am to 6 pm, with an expected duration of about three months and benefits available.

The ideal candidate has a valid phlebotomy certification and at least six months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital, plus proficiency with Microsoft Office. Must speak Spanish and be able to handle specimens per protocol.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens and centrifuging specimens.
• Demonstrate venipuncture techniques using straight needles and butterfly needles.
• Collect and store specimens according to established procedures; update patient information.
• Check test requisitions and labels for accuracy (100%).
• Adhere to OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual trainings.
