Job summary

Native American Health Center (NAHC) in Oakland, CA seeks a Member Services Coordinator II (Spanish). Qualifications

• Knowledge of clinical terminology and treatments.
• Experience assisting members with accessing services across medical, dental, and mental health.
• Ability to train and support other MSC staff.

Responsibilities

• Greet all members in a courteous and professional manner.
• Schedule member appointments and inform members of processes and procedures.
• Proactively manage appointment scheduling to maximize productivity and fill gaps.
• Manage the voicemail system and ensure messages are routed appropriately.
• Make member appointment reminder calls and notify about outstanding balances.
• Respond to inquiries about financial responsibility, insurance and benefits, and treatment planning.
• Register members into the practice management system and NAHC member portal.
• Screen eligibility for care coverage and enroll into publicly-funded programs.
• Coordinate insurance benefits with members and providers and handle payer codes.
• Follow procedures when collecting payments and provide receipts.
• Assist with language translation and participate in quality improvement teams.
