Job summary

Community Action of Washington County seeks a Housing Stability Resource Navigator/Liaison who is bilingual in Spanish to assess households and provide crisis intervention. You will work across systems of care, determine program eligibility, and refer clients to rent, utility, CARE, and health navigation services.

You will maintain confidential records, collaborate with partners like Providence, and deliver services in homes, schools, and community sites to promote equitable access.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years in eligibility determination, including intake interviews.
• Bilingual in Spanish (verbal and written) is required.
• Experience de-escalating crises and delivering trauma-informed services.
• Ability to coordinate with other professionals and social service agencies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct phone-based or in-person assessments with low-income households.
• Provide on-site crisis intervention and make independent decisions.
• Determine eligibility and initiate referrals for Rent, Utility, CARE, and OHP navigation.
• Allocate resources based on assessment results and available programs.
• Collaborate with partner agencies and work outside the main office when needed.
• Maintain real-time confidential records in state-wide databases.
• Understand eligibility for Community Action and partner programs.
