Job summary

N-iX is seeking a Spanish-speaking Data Architect to lead cloud data platform design for clients. You will own target architecture end-to-end, engage client stakeholders in Spanish, and guide engineering teams through delivery.

This role blends hands-on technical leadership with consulting: shape solutions in pre-sales, run discovery workshops, and ensure architecture quality in production. Remote-friendly with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data engineering or data platforms.
• 3+ years as a Data or Solution Architect.
• Hands-on with Snowflake and/or Databricks.
• Strong knowledge of Azure and/or AWS data services.
• SQL and Python/Scala; Spark experience.
• Proven data modelling (dimensional, data vault) and lakehouse design.
• Experience with orchestration tools (Airflow, dbt, Azure Data Factory or Databricks Workflows).
• Infrastructure as code (Terraform, Bicep or CloudFormation) and CI/CD for data.
• Cloud data platform build or migration lead.
• Client-facing consulting: workshops, architecture decisions.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end data architectures on Snowflake and/or Databricks on Azure and/or AWS.
• Define lakehouse and data warehouse patterns and apply best fit per use case.
• Lead migrations from legacy platforms to the cloud with assessment, roadmap and cutover planning.
• Set standards for data modelling, pipelines, CI/CD and IaC for data platforms.
• Design data governance, security and compliance including GDPR and LATAM laws.
• Optimize platform cost and performance through sizing and FinOps practices.
• Run discovery workshops and architecture reviews in Spanish and English.
• Support pre-sales: solution design, effort estimates and proposals.
