N-iX is seeking a Senior/Lead Data Engineer to join our client team. You will own and extend data pipelines and analytics data models, integrating data from multiple sources into AWS Data Lake and using Airflow to orchestrate workflows.

You will translate business requirements into robust data solutions, collaborate with analysts, and demonstrate ownership and sound engineering judgment in a fast-moving European tech environment.

Qualifikationen

• Hands-on data engineering experience building and operating production data pipelines.
• Strong SQL skills with data modeling for analytics (fact and dimension tables).
• Experience with workflow orchestration, preferably Airflow.
• Experience with AWS-based data environments (Athena, Data Lake).
• Ability to clarify requirements, investigate issues, and propose pragmatic solutions.

Aufgaben

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve existing data pipelines and datasets.
• Design and maintain analytical data models for analytics use cases.
• Ingest and integrate data from multiple sources into AWS Data Lake.
• Build, deploy, validate, monitor, and backfill data pipelines as needed.
• Collaborate with data analysts to deliver reliable datasets.
• Clarify requirements with stakeholders and challenge assumptions.
• Ensure data quality through validation and testing, owning end-to-end delivery.
• Leverage AI-assisted tooling while critically validating generated solutions.
