Job summary

UCSF Medical Center in San Francisco, CA is seeking a Clinical Social Worker I/II (Spanish Speaking) to join the CASARC team. This role provides trauma-informed psychotherapy and clinical case management to children and families referred for therapy.

The caseload will be predominantly monolingual Spanish-speaking clients (about 80%), requiring strong documentation, coordination with schools, CPS, police, and medical providers, and the ability to work independently under deadlines.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work or counseling from an accredited university.
• Must be registered in good standing with the California BBS as a Social Worker Associate or Associate Marriage, Family Therapist.
• Experience providing child and family therapy in Spanish.
• Experience in child, family and trauma therapy and knowledge of child abuse issues.
• Experience working with culturally diverse children and families.
• Excellent documentation and clinical skills, ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated reliability and strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Experience doing clinical case management and outreach.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed clinical services to children and families referred to CASARC for therapy.
• Assist families in negotiating school, legal and medical systems to support recovery.
• Maintain documentation and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including CPS, police and medical providers.
• Report to CASARC Clinical Coordinator and senior staff clinicians and manage a caseload with emphasis on Spanish-speaking clients.
