Job summary

Excelsia Injury Care is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy/Chiropractic Assistant to support patients through the care continuum. The role includes assisting with pre/post care, taking vital signs, and accurately documenting modalities and progress notes under the direction of the District Clinician.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, state certification coursework, CPR/First Aid, and at least one year of office experience in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• State Certification or enrollment in approved course to become State Certified within one year (20 observation hours and 520 clinical hours).
• CPR and/or First Aid certification, maintained throughout employment.
• 1 year experience in an office providing physical therapy and/or chiropractic care.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to effectively interact with doctors, patients, and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients pre and post care by the D.C.
• Take vital signs of patients
• Perform physical therapy modalities as directed by the D.C.
• Document modalities performed and subjective patient progress notes accurately
• Maintain cleanliness of exam and treatment rooms at all times
• Monitor controls on physical therapy equipment
• Launder towels, gowns, covers, etc., as required
• Maintain inventory and order supplies
• Assist in general office operations: filing, prepping charts, answering phones, patient registration
• Travel to other locations as directed for coverage
• Assist in maintaining a neat, clean, and orderly office
• If Floater Certified, travel to all locations within the region as needed for coverage
• Perform other duties as directed
