Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Ability to provide consecutive interpretation between English and Spanish.
• Successful completion of language and interpreting proficiency evaluations.
• Résumé in English submitted during application.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to travel to onsite assignments.
• Background checks and health/immunization requirements may apply.
• One or more years of interpreting experience.
• Credentials or certifications in medical, legal, education or social-services interpreting.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and professional consecutive interpretation between English and Spanish during onsite assignments.
• Provide remote interpretation by telephone or video when applicable to an accepted assignment.
• Follow applicable interpreter protocols, professional standards, and client requirements.
• Comply with Propio and client requirements relating to confidentiality, privacy, security, and assignment protocols.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy, security, and data-protection requirements including HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA, and client requirements.
• Maintain professional interactions with clients, patients, customers, visitors, healthcare professionals, and other participants.
• Maintain professional language proficiency, terminology, and subject-matter knowledge necessary to perform accepted assignments accurately and professionally.
