Job summary

Propio Language Services is seeking on-site interpreters in the Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN area to provide accurate consecutive interpretation between English and Spanish.

Opportunities are available as independent contractors to support healthcare, education, government, legal, and other settings. Candidates must be fluent in English and Spanish, have at least one year of interpreting experience, and be able to travel to assignments.

Qualifications

• Professional proficiency in English and Spanish.
• One or more years of professional interpreting experience.
• Ability to travel to and from onsite assignments.
• Successful completion of language and interpreting proficiency evaluations.
• Résumé in English during application.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education/experience as required by client standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and professional consecutive interpretation between English and Spanish during onsite assignments.
• Provide remote interpretation by telephone or video when applicable.
• Follow interpreter protocols, standards, and client requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA, and client requirements.
• Maintain professional language proficiency and subject knowledge for accepted assignments.
