Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Professional proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Ability to accurately provide consecutive interpretation.
• Successful completion of language and interpreting proficiency evaluations.
• Submission of a current résumé in English during the application process.
• Basic computer and technology proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and professional consecutive interpretation between English and Spanish on onsite assignments.
• Provide remote interpretation by telephone or video when applicable.
• Follow interpreter protocols, professional standards, and client requirements.
• Comply with Propio and client confidentiality, privacy, security, and assignment rules.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy, security, and data-protection requirements (HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA).
• Interact professionally with clients, patients, and healthcare professionals; maintain subject-matter knowledge.
