Job summary

Propio Language Services is seeking Spanish Onsite Contract Interpreters in the Minneapolis, MN Metro Twin Cities area to facilitate accurate and meaningful communication during on-site assignments.

These positions are offered as independent contract services. Interpreters must be proficient in English and Spanish, complete required evaluations, and be able to travel to assignments while adhering to confidentiality and client-specific protocols.

Qualifications

• Professional proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to provide consecutive interpretation between English and Spanish.
• Successful completion of interpreter proficiency evaluations.
• Résumé in English during the application process.
• Basic computer and technology proficiency.
• Ability to travel to onsite assignments.
• Background, security, fingerprinting, and/or drug screening may be required.
• Confidentiality, privacy, and ethics requirements must be agreed to.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate consecutive interpretation between English and Spanish at onsite assignments.
• Provide remote interpretation by telephone or video when applicable to an assignment.
• Follow interpreter protocols, professional standards, and client requirements.
• Comply with Propio and client confidentiality, privacy, and security requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA as applicable.
• Maintain professional interactions with clients and other participants.
• Maintain language proficiency and subject-matter knowledge for assignments.
