Job summary

Kansas Health System is seeking a Spanish Interpreter (PRN) to support patient encounters across Bell Hospital. You will interpret accurately for patients and families, explain hospital resources and policies, and maintain strict confidentiality while collaborating with care teams.

The role emphasizes professional interpretation, adherence to medical ethics, and participation in on-site staff education to promote best practices. This is a part-time, on-site position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Documented interpreting competencies via ALTA or related education.
• 2+ years of healthcare interpreter experience.

Responsibilities

• Interpret in a timely and accurate manner for patients/family members in a wide variety of settings.
• Maintain strict patient confidentiality and privacy.
• Follow directions, contribute to problem-solving, and interact courteously with patients and staff.
• Participate in staff education/inservices on best practices and policies; data entry/run reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned per department needs and on-site service requirements.
