Job summary

Global Village Academy is seeking a Substitute Teacher to deliver meaningful instruction when the regular teacher is away, using prepared lesson plans to maintain a productive and safe classroom throughout the day. You will follow the school curriculum, support student success, and help maintain routines.

This on-call position pays daily rates based on licensure, from $155 up to $200 per day, with corresponding hourly equivalents.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
Colorado substitute authorization or teaching license preferred.
Strong classroom management and the ability to follow lesson plans effectively.
Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments and student needs.
Professionalism, reliability, and a positive attitude toward teaching and student engagement.

Responsibilities

Report to the Front Desk/Administrative Assistant upon arrival.
Maintain established classroom routines and expectations.
Implement lesson plans left by the regular classroom teacher and follow the school curriculum.
Monitor student behavior in the classroom and during transitions or other school activities.
Take daily attendance and maintain any other necessary records.
Follow all school policies and procedures applicable to regular teachers.
Communicate with the regular classroom teacher and/or school administration regarding student progress or concerns.
Ensure the classroom is left clean and organized at the end of the day.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
