Job summary

Global Village Academy is seeking an on-call Substitute Teacher to provide instruction in the absence of the regular teacher. You will use prepared lesson plans and maintain a productive, safe classroom environment throughout the school day.

Responsibilities include following curriculum, monitoring student behavior, taking attendance, and coordinating with school staff. A BA/BS and state substitute authorization or teaching license are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
• Colorado Substitute Authorization or Teacher License preferred.
• Strong classroom management and the ability to follow lesson plans.

Responsibilities

• Report to Front Desk/Administrative Assistant on arrival and sign in.
• Maintain classroom routines and expectations throughout the day.
• Implement lesson plans and follow the school curriculum.
• Monitor student behavior during class and transitions.
• Take daily attendance and maintain records as needed.
• Communicate with the regular teacher or administration about student progress.
