Selected candidate will become an employee of Baltimore City Schools and may work at multiple sites as required.

Qualifications

• Valid educator license OR eligible for a conditional license.
• Bilingually fluent in Spanish (speaking, reading, writing).
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Math, or Science or related field.
• Knowledge of applicable education laws protecting services for students with disabilities.
• Strong oral and written communication and human relations skills.
• Ability to plan lessons and adapt to student needs and the learning environment.
• Ability to work with division/school objectives and timelines.
• Experience collaborating with guidance counselors, librarians, and other staff.

Responsibilities

• Assesses student abilities related to goals and outcomes.
• Plans and implements instructional strategies and materials.
• Develops and individualizes materials and approaches.
• Establishes discipline and classroom management.
• Coordinates activities and collaborates with professional staff.
• Maintains assessment and reporting documentation.
• Communicates with parents about progress.
• Opens to work at multiple schools as assigned.
