Job summary

University of Delaware Associate in Arts Program invites applications for Adjunct Faculty in Spanish for the Dover campus. This in-person teaching role is part-time with up to 10 course credits per semester, starting Spring Semester 2027 (Feb 8, 2027).

Candidates must be able to teach in Dover and/or Georgetown. Requirements include a Master’s degree in Spanish or related field, native or near-native Spanish and English, and prior college-level teaching experience in the US.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Spanish language, literature, linguistics, cultural studies, or SLA teaching.
• Native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English (ACTFL Superior or CEFR C1).
• Prior college-level Spanish teaching experience in the US.
• Ability to use technology to enhance student learning.
• Commitment to high-quality, collaborative, communicative-based instruction.
• Willingness to hold one hour of student/office hours per week for each course taught.

Responsibilities

• Teach in-person introductory Spanish courses in spring 2027.
• Collaborate with departmental colleagues to advance student outcomes.
• Engage students from diverse backgrounds and varied learning styles.
• Support and engage students through office hours and accessible instruction.
