Job summary

Bastion Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Spacesuit Technologist in Houston, TX to support NASA prototype spacesuits, assemblies, inspections, and testing.

You will work closely with experienced suit techs to prepare hardware and operate specialized test equipment across NASA facilities. Ideal candidates have strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on fabrication experience, US citizenship or permanent residency, and at least five years of related work in a lab or space environment.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship or Permanent Resident status required.
• Space industry or DoD experience preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5 years of related work experience.
• Hands-on mechanical and fabrication experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in lab environments.
• Able to pass a Class III AF Physical.
• Onsite work in Houston with flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, assemble, and test prototype spacesuits with senior team members.
• Prepare procedures and work instructions for maintenance and testing.
• Operate test equipment (TSE) and ground support equipment (GSE).
• Build/modify mockups and prototype hardware for testing and evaluation.
• Maintain personal training and certifications; follow safety policies.
