Job summary

Mclaurin Aerospace is seeking a Spacesuit Technologist to join our JETS II contract team at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX. The role involves supporting the OCSS hardware, cleaning, and safety processes, and assisting with fitchecks and crew training events.

The ideal candidate has a HS diploma with 5 years of experience or a BS in Engineering Technology. Familiarity with NASA flight processes and JSC documentation is a plus.

Qualifications

• HS diploma and 5 years of experience or BS in Engineering Technology or related field.
• Experience reviewing and following requirements documents including functional requirements and verification criteria.
• Experience with assembly, verification, testing, and operation of space system hardware.
• Familiarity with NASA flight processes and JSC documentation systems (EDMS).

Responsibilities

• Understand OCSS hardware theory and operation.
• Understand and apply cleaning requirements and maintenance procedures.
• Assist with testing, fitchecks, and crew training events.
• Support pre/post event briefings and test documentation.
• Work with the OCSS team to meet project requirements and deliverables.
• Support testing and calibration of Ground Service Equipment and oxygen systems.
