Job summary

SpaceX in Starbase, TX is seeking a Spaceport Operations Supervisor to lead housing, transportation, site amenities, and guest services. You will help shape customer service strategies, train staff, and drive efficient operations to support a growing Spaceport ecosystem.

The role requires strong leadership in hospitality or transport, with experience scaling operations, managing budgets, and coordinating cross-functional teams. Relocation to Starbase, TX and 85% travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 3+ years of leadership experience in hospitality or transportation.
• Bachelor's degree in hospitality preferred.
• 5+ years of leadership experience in hospitality or transportation preferred.
• Experience opening new operations or creating procedures from scratch.
• Advanced knowledge of customer service and problem resolution.
• Proficient in MS Office and Outlook.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of room inventory, housekeeping, and guest service.
• HR management knowledge.
• Strong time management.
• Experience leading large teams.
• Familiar with space planning and operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Spaceport operations including strategy and execution leasing/traveler housing program, transportation and amenities.
• Monitor quality and consistency of Spaceport operations by setting and enforcing standards, inspecting and routinely walking areas of responsibility.
• Train staff on customer service, anticipating guest needs and problem resolution.
• Enforce proper safety practices with staff and leads.
• Coordinate and enhance time management for team.
• Monitor financial activities for Spaceport operations strategically driving revenue and improving operating costs.
• Create and maintain in-person and online training materials.
• Manage performance for Spaceport Operations staff.
• Work closely with Spaceport Development Team, Facilities, Culinary and Hospitality teams.
