Blue Origin is seeking a Software Systems Engineer to help define requirements for safety-critical and non-safety-critical software in the Lunar Permanence program. You will collaborate with diverse engineering teams to ensure compliance to standards and shape the requirements for the next human-rated lunar lander.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.S. degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in systems engineering, preferably in avionics and software systems including software requirements derivation, management and verification.
• Understanding of spacecraft systems and subsystem functions, and their interfaces.
• Ability to communicate product vision and needs cross functionally.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident or otherwise eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, decompose, and create requirements for safety critical and non safety critical software
• Establish relationships and own cross functional communication for collaborative and effective development
• Author documentation, and participate in design reviews
• Support the Technical Project Managers to identify and track program and technical risk, develop and maintain schedule, resource allocation, and budge
