Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation invites applications for an internship conversion in the Vehicle Systems Division. The selected candidate will conduct tests and analyses of embedded software in launch vehicles, spacecraft, CubeSats, and other space systems, developing models for software-in-the-loop, hardware-in-the-loop, and emulator-based simulators.

You will collaborate with teammates, apply best practices, and contribute to mission assurance activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM field (pursuing or conferred within last 12 months)
• 0–1 year of industry work experience
• GPA of 3.0 or higher
• US citizenship required to obtain security clearance
• Willing to travel domestically ~10% as needed
• Transcripts required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Conduct tests and analyses of software systems embedded within launch vehicles, spacecraft, CubeSats, and other mission-critical components
• Develop models of space system components for software-in-the-loop, hardware-in-the-loop, and emulator-based simulators
• Develop tools and techniques for enhancing analysis and simulation capabilities
• Follow software and system best practices and collaborate with team members to deliver quality products
