Job summary

Bastion Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Quality Engineer to support space program work on Liquid Engines at the MSFC Safety & Mission Assurance contract located at Stennis Space Center in Mississippi.

The role involves interpreting and coordinating QA/QE activities, evaluating manufacturing processes, and ensuring compliance with NASA S&MA requirements and AS9100/ISO9000 standards. Candidates must have a Bachelor's in engineering and 5+ years of relevant experience, with US citizenship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of recent and related work experience.
• US Citizenship due to the sensitivity of customer information.
• Knowledge of NASA S&MA requirements for manufacturing processes.
• Working knowledge of AS9100/ISO9000 quality management system requirements.
• Ability to read complex blueprints, technical charts, and specification sheets.

Responsibilities

• Interpret, organize, and coordinate S&MA engineering activities that may affect programs.
• Assess in-house and contracted QA/QE docs for NASA policy and MMS/S&MA directives.
• Support documentation for manufacturing, inspection, and test phases of programs.
• Participate in milestone reviews to evaluate certification requirements.
• Develop/utilize tools to ensure quality requirements are identified for MSFC programs.
• Perform drawing and procurement documentation review.
• Provide support on quality plans, surveillance plans, inspection instructions, NC resolutions, RCCA and related QE functions.
• Develop metrics as needed.
