Job summary

Bastion seeks a Quality Engineer to support RS-25 Engine work for the MSFC Safety & Mission Assurance program in Canoga Park, CA. The role involves ensuring quality across design, manufacturing, inspection, and testing activities in a NASA-related environment.

The position requires US Citizenship, a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, and 5+ years of experience, with additional consideration for 9+ years in lieu of a degree. Travel and occasional overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of NASA S&MA requirements for manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Interpret, organize, and coordinate QA/QE activities affecting major programs.
• Assess in-house and contracted quality processes and manufacturing activities.
• Review QA/QE documentation for compliance with NASA policies and MMS/S&MA directives.
• Support documentation for manufacturing, inspection, and test phases.
• Participate in government milestone reviews for certification requirements.
• Develop tools to identify applicable quality requirements for MSFC programs.
