Job summary

Bastion Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Quality Engineer to support RS-25 engine programs at the MSFC Safety & Mission Assurance contract in Canoga Park, CA. The role involves coordinating QA/QE activities, reviewing documentation, and ensuring compliance with NASA requirements.

Ideal candidates have a 5+ year background in aerospace quality with AS9100/ISO9000 knowledge, blueprints literacy, and willingness to pass background checks and screenings. onsite work with potential travel is expected.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship due to the sensitivity of customer information.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field is required.
• 5+ years of recent and related work experience.
• In lieu of degree: 9+ years of recent and related experience will be considered.
• Knowledge of NASA S&MA requirements for manufacturing processes.
• Working knowledge of AS9100/ISO9000 quality management system requirements.
• Ability to read complex blueprints, technical charts, and specification sheets.

Responsibilities

• Interpret, organize, and coordinate assignments; plan and develop S&MA engineering and assurance activity for major programs.
• Evaluate and assess in-house and contracted quality processes and manufacturing activities, including contractor systems.
• Review QA/QE documentation for NASA MMS and S&MA requirements.
• Support documentation and processes for manufacturing, inspection, and test phases of programs.
• Participate in government milestone reviews to evaluate certification requirements.
• Develop/utilize tools to ensure quality requirements are identified for MSFC programs/projects.
• Review drawings and procurement documentation.
