Job summary

Bastion Technologies, Inc. seeks a Quality Engineer to support the NASA SMA work on Liquid Engines for the SLS program in Merritt Island, FL.

The role involves coordinating S&MA activities, reviewing QA/QE docs for NASA policy adherence, and participating in milestone reviews to ensure certification and safety standards are met. Qualifications include US Citizenship, a bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, and 5+ years of related experience (9+ years if no degree).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field is required.
• 5+ years of recent and related work experience; 9+ years if no degree.
• US Citizenship required due to sensitive information.
• Knowledge of NASA S&MA requirements for space hardware projects.
• Ability to read complex blueprints, charts, and specifications.
• Previous experience with liquid engines is required.
• Knowledge of AS9100/ISO9000 quality management system requirements.

Responsibilities

• Interpret, organize, and coordinate assignments; plan S&MA engineering and assurance activity.
• Review QA/QE documentation for NASA policy, MMS, and S&MA instructions.
• Support COFR documentation and milestone review processes.
• Participate in government milestone reviews to evaluate certification requirements.
• Develop metrics; review drawings and procurement documentation.
• Maintain professional relationships with NASA customers and contractors.
• Other duties as assigned.
