Job summary

Blue Origin on Merritt Island is seeking a Quality Engineer to drive quality systems across development and production environments in support of space systems.

You will join a team reporting to the Quality Engineering Manager, contributing to design reviews, process improvements, and manufacturing quality assurance for spaceflight hardware. This role requires shift flexibility and a focus on safety and quality in aerospace manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.S. in Engineering/Science.
• 5+ years’ proven experience in a Quality Engineer role in a production environment.
• Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO 9000 QM System and/or related quality systems and programs.
• Ability to support manufacturing schedules and overtime as needed.
• Provide quality assurance domain expertise to inspection, manufacturing, and test for the Manufacturing team.

Responsibilities

• Establish, implement, maintain, and enforce quality system processes that support products in development and production environments.
• Measure, analyze, and improve quality system performance.
• Review and approve manufacturing build documents including work orders and nonconformance records.
• Perform periodic audits of the application of our quality system in accordance with AS9100.
• Collaborate with internal and external customers on quality concerns; develop training materials.
